Nutshot Simulator · Last updated 18 July 2026

Nutshot Simulator (“we”, “us”) is an independent video game and this website, nutshotsimulator.com. This policy explains what limited information we collect and how we use it. Playing the game does not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or other personal details.

Information we collect

We collect anonymous gameplay analytics only. When you play the web demo, the game may send fire-and-forget events describing how the game is used — for example which level was played, in-game actions, timestamps, and basic performance information. These events are tagged with a random session identifier that is generated in your browser and stored in your browser’s local storage. This identifier is not linked to your identity, and we do not collect your IP address, name, email, precise location, or any other personally identifying information.

If you choose to submit playtest feedback in-game, that feedback is stored alongside the same anonymous session identifier. Please don’t include personal information in feedback.

How we use it

We use anonymous analytics and voluntary feedback solely to understand how the game is played and to improve it. We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Storage and service providers

Analytics events are processed and stored using Amazon Web Services (AWS) on our behalf. We share data only with infrastructure providers as necessary to operate the game, and only to the extent required to do so.

Local storage and cookies

The game uses your browser’s local storage to save your settings, progress, and the random session identifier described above. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear this data at any time through your browser.

Third-party platforms

The game is also distributed through platforms such as Steam, and we operate social media accounts (on X, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram) where we post our own promotional content. Those platforms are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. Our social accounts publish content we create; they do not collect data about you on our behalf.

Children

The game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we collect no personal information, no such data is gathered in the ordinary course.

Your choices

You can clear the game’s local storage in your browser to remove the anonymous session identifier and saved settings. For any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@nutshotsimulator.com.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version.
